Gunmen kidnap Akwa Ibom High Court Judge, Kill orderly.

Justice Joy Uwanna, a high court judge, and her driver were abducted by gunmen on Monday in Akwa Ibom State's Oron Local Government Area. It was learned that the attack along the Uyo-Okobo route claimed the life of the judge's orderly. The Federal Government's appeal to extend the life of the N200, N500, and N1000 notes—which were redesigned during President Muhammadu Buhari's most recent administration—has been granted by the Supreme Court. Godwin Emefiele, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), remains detained in Kuje Prison in Abuja, seven days after he was granted release. The bail conditions placed on the former head of CBN, by the Federal Capital Territory's High Court, have not been fulfilled. Emefiele was granted N300 million bail by Judge Hamza Muazu on November 22.
