Heavily armed men kill village head in Kano

Heavily armed men, in their numbers, stormed Maigari village in Rimin Gado Local Government of Kano State on Sunday and shot dead the village head, Alhaji Dahiru Abba. Bandits The gunmen, according to an eyewitness, rode on motorcycles. A family source confirmed that the gunmen did not take anything from the victim’s house. The village head is also said to be the father of the present Chairman of Rimin Gado Council, Barrister Munir Dahiru Maigari. Efforts to reach the Kano State PPRO, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa were not successful as of the time of filing this report.

DPO reportedly killed by Bandits in Zamfara

A Divisional Police Officer in Maru town, Maru Local Government area of Zamfara State, SP Kazeem Raheem, was reportedly killed by bandits in the early hours of Saturday, March 4. The DPO was killed by bandits alongside a yet-to-be-identified police sergeant and a vigilante. A source from the community told said that bandits were in the area purposely to kidnap Alhaji Ilisayu, a businessman. Police parade suspected electoral offenders in Cross River

The Police Command in Cross River on Saturday paraded 16 suspects arrested for various alleged electoral offences in the Ogoja Local Government Area of the state.
