Unknown gunmen attack checkpoint, kill two policemen in Enugu

Unknown gunmen resumed their attacks on security checkpoints in Enugu State on Sunday, reportedly killing two policemen. The gunmen launched the attack at a police checkpoint close to the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, UNEC. A source hinted that the policemen, who were on stop and search, were caught unawares. A video currently trending on social media shows two of the officers lying in a pool of their blood. The Enugu State Police Command is yet to issue any statement on the incident. More to come…

Gunmen have killed 6 persons in Odiokwu community in Ahaoda West Local Government Area of Rivers State. An eyewitness said that the attack was carried out around 11am on Sunday (today), at a sit-out in the community. The eyewitness said a resident who was preparing to go to church was also gunned down.
