The President General of the Ohafia Improvement Union (OIU) Worldwide, Chief Fab Kalu Uche, has said that the Union is embarking on an agricultural empowerment scheme to create wealth, provide jobs, and ensure food security. According to him, the OIU has recognised that true empowerment lies in economic independence, and hence, the "Hectare to Hectare" Agribusiness Scheme, which is an initiative designed to secure land, provide training, and offer support for the youth to engage in modern, profitable agriculture, and therefore moving away from subsistence farming to agribusiness.
