The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, in the 2023 general election, Omoyole Sowore has rejected an apology offered to Nigerians by President Muhammadu Buhari as his administration wind-up. Buhari had on Friday asked Nigerians to pardon him, especially those he might have hurt while discharging his duties. Some unidentified gunmen, on Friday morning, ambushed policemen at Okpala junction in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State. Owo Catholic Church reopens 10 months after attack (see pictures)

Ten months after Francis Catholic Church located in Owo, Ondo State, was attacked by gunmen, the Church on Sunday, April 9, reopen for religious activities. The PUNCH reports that on June 5, 2022, gunmen attacked the church and killed some of the worshippers while others were left injured. The governor of the state, Rotimi Akeredolu, had visited the scene to commiserate with the church and the entire town. Four persons were reportedly injured as traditional religion worshippers invaded a mosque in Ile-Ile, Osun state to attack worshippers.
