The Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali has ordered various commandos across the country to begin prosecuting individuals who assault their personnel. A statement from force spokesman Muyiwa Adejobi revealed that the IGP said an attack on its officers is an affront to the rule of law. Bandits kill soldier, kidnap foreign national in Kaduna community

Suspected gunmen Friday, stormed a farm in Anchau village of Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State, on Wednesday, killing a soldier who was detailed to provide security to staff members in the company. A source disclosed that after killing the security personnel, they abducted two staff of the company, a Zimbabwean national. NSCDC promotes over 5000 to new ranks

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC), on Saturday, said it has promoted 5010 officers and men to new ranks. Four Catholic reverends freed by kidnappers

Four Catholic reverends abducted Sunday along Okigwe-Umulolo Road in the Okigwe Local Government Area IMO state have been released. The Reverend Sisters are members of the Sisters of Jesus El Salvador Generelate, a religious group of the Catholic Church in Port Harcourt, capital of the Rivers, south-south of Nigeria. They were identified as Johannes Nwodo, Christabel Echemazu, Liberata Mbamalu and Benita Agu. They were attacked and kidnapped while on their way to attend a thanksgiving service for another Reverend Sister in the area.
