TRAGEDY STRIKES: Family of 11 Perish in Ugwu-Onyeama Fire Incident


A devastating fire incident has claimed the lives of a family of 11 in Ugwu-Onyeama, Anambra State. The victims were traveling to their hometown in Ebonyi State for the burial of their patriarch, scheduled for this Friday, January 31st.

Bro Jeremiah Nwaji, a devoted community leader and President of the Alter Boys Association at SS John and Paul Iba Pope, Awada Obodi, Anambra, his wife, six children, younger brother, maid, and apprentice all lost their lives in the tragic incident.

The community is in shock and mourning the loss of this beloved family, who were deeply involved in their parish and local community. Bro Nwaji’s leadership and dedication to the Alter Boys Association had inspired many, and his passing leaves a great void.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. Meanwhile, friends, family, and community members are gathering to pay their respects to the deceased and offer support to those affected by this tragedy.
