We didn’t bring Portable to judge lawyers’ morals; we hired him to entertain. – NBA


Mr. Afam Osigwe, SAN, the chairman of the conference organizing committee, insisted that Portable’s attendance at the event was solely for entertainment purposes and not to set a high moral standard for attorneys.

“I am in charge of everything as the chairman of the conference planning committee. I think to myself, “Did we bring him to be an ambassador of the NBA or to entertain guests?” this is what I ask whenever I hear comments about Portable.

“We didn’t bring Portable to define moral standards but to amuse lawyers. It served as entertainment.

He is allegedly in court, but what about the presumption of innocence, I wonder? Has a judge found him guilty in any case? Did we bring him there to encourage immoral behavior in any way?
