Nigeria to Receive Additional 5MW Solar Power Deployment Through REA – Tegbe

Nigeria is set to benefit from an additional 5 megawatts (MW) of solar energy capacity as part of ongoing efforts to expand access to reliable electricity across the country. The Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, disclosed this on Wednesday during the inauguration of a 504-kilowatt interconnected mini-grid project in Epe, Lagos State. According to the minister, the new solar energy deployment will be facilitated through the Rural Electrification Agency and is aimed at strengthening power supply in Epe and surrounding economic hubs.
