A harrowing deadly incident occurred on April 23, 2025 at around 12:30 hours, when a convoy belonging to Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu, an Aspirant for the Abia North Senatorial Zone in the upcoming 2027 elections was attacked by unknown armed bandits along the Anambra-Imo State road while enroute to Abia State. Popularly known as Madam Sabificate, Shimite reportedly died from poisoning on Easter Sunday.
