A vocal Chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State Chief Chidiebere J. Okoh, has thrown his weight behind the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Okezie Kalu, insisting that anyone working to bring him down is standing against the thousands of lives he has transformed across Bende Federal Constituency.

Okoh maintained that Hon. Benjamin Kalu’s record in office speaks louder than political rhetoric, arguing that his performance has set a benchmark difficult to ignore. According to him, the lawmaker is currently facilitating monthly salaries for more than 11,200 beneficiaries through programmes coordinated by his office, providing sustained economic support to families across the constituency.

He further highlighted Kalu’s investment in solar power stations aimed at improving electricity supply in communities, alongside the construction of road infrastructure, despite such projects not falling directly within the constitutional responsibilities of a federal legislator.

Okoh also pointed to Kalu’s success in attracting two universities to Item in Bende Federal Constituency, describing the development as a landmark achievement with long-term educational and economic benefits for the area.

He argued that replacing a lawmaker with such a proven record with individuals who lack legislative experience would amount to sacrificing competence for experimentation.

According to Okoh, only those who do not genuinely have the interest of the people at heart would seek to remove a representative whose impact is visible across critical sectors. He urged constituents to remain proactive, forward-thinking, and committed to sustaining quality representation built on tangible results rather than political sentiments.
