Emeka Okonkwo Daniel, popularly known as E-Money, is a well-known businessman and socialite from Lagos who was detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on suspicion of currency misuse.
The arrest was verified by EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale to DAILY POST on Tuesday.
According to information obtained by our correspondent, E-Money was arrested Monday night at his home in the Omole neighbourhood of Lagos following an incident in which he was allegedly seen spraying US dollars.
According to reports, preliminary investigations are already underway, and as soon as the investigations are over, the suspect will face charges in court.
The spokeswoman for the EFCC told OHAFIATV, “The report is true; he was arrested last night.”
