ABA — The Item Community, Aba, under the auspices of the Item Development Association (IDA), Aba Branch, received one of its illustrious sons, Chief Pascal “Karibe” Ojigwe, on Tuesday, 1st September 2026, during its general meeting.
Chief Karibe Ojigwe, who is the NDC Candidate for Bende Federal Constituency in the 2027 General Election, was at the meeting to consult with his kinsmen and seek their support ahead of the polls.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Karibe expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of IDA Aba Branch for the warm reception. He solicited the support and cooperation of the association towards the realization of his aspiration to represent Bende Federal Constituency in the National Assembly.
The NDC flagbearer assured the people that, if elected as a federal lawmaker, he would attract transformation and massive development to Bende and Umunneochi. He pledged to prioritize job opportunities for youths, empowerment for women, infrastructural development, and improved welfare for all constituents.
In his response, the Chairman of IDA Aba Branch, Chief David Kalu Uduma, thanked Chief Karibe Ojigwe for deeming it fit to consult with his kinsmen. On behalf of Ndi Item in Aba, he blessed his aspiration and prayed for his success.
Chief Uduma, however, emphasized that IDA is an apolitical body and remains open to consultations and engagements with all candidates, irrespective of party affiliation, who seek the progress and development of Item land.
The meeting ended with prayers and goodwill messages from members of the association.
