Prominent traditional rulers and eminent sons of the Ohafia Ancient Kingdom featured prominently at the Kwararafa Development Forum’s historic cultural gathering held at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, on Saturday.
The event, themed “The Splendour of the Confederacy: Ancient Truth and the New Dawn,” brought together royal fathers, statesmen and delegates from Kwararafa nationalities across 22 states and five geopolitical zones to celebrate their shared heritage, unity and cultural identity.
Among the Ohafia delegation were HRM Ezieogo Mba Odo Okereke, JP, Ezieogo Akanu Ohafia and Secretary-General of the Council of Ohafia Monarchs; His Royal Majesty, Eze Kalu Kalu Ogbu IV, the Paramount Ruler and Enachioken of Abiriba, HRM Ezieogo Dr. Emmanuel Kalu Kalu Onugu; HRM Ezieogo Ikechukwu Okagwe; Prince Emele Kalu Emele; and Chief Imo Ukwa Imo, who serves as PRO.
The gathering also attracted prominent national figures, including RATTAWU President, Prince Emeka Kalu “Magic Fingers,” alongside other dignitaries, traditional rulers and political leaders.
The Kwararafa event featured the world premiere of a documentary on the ancient confederacy, unveiling of the Kwararafa Compendium and grand cultural performances, reinforcing the message of “One Heritage. One Voice. One Future.”
For the Ohafia delegation, the gathering provided another significant platform to showcase the kingdom’s enduring place within Nigeria’s broader cultural history while joining other Kwararafa nationalities in projecting unity, heritage and a shared future.
