Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor “De Ultimate Commander” (Ikenga Gburugburu of Ohafia and Nneato Ancient Kingdoms), has commended the Executive Mayor of Umunneochi Local Government Area, Hon. Sunny Afurobi, for the impressive mobilisation ahead of the planned reception for the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, on Friday, July 24, 2026.

In a statement made available to Newsmen Ambassador Offor praised Mayor Afurobi for providing purposeful leadership and rallying traditional rulers, community leaders, women, youths, market associations, political stakeholders and other groups to give Governor Otti a befitting hero’s welcome.

He described the planned reception as a reflection of the people’s appreciation for Governor Otti’s pragmatic and transformational leadership, noting that the Governor has restored confidence in governance through people-oriented policies and visible developmental projects across Abia State.

Ambassador Offor urged the people of Umunneochi to turn out in their numbers and make the event a memorable celebration of good governance and grassroots unity.

According to him, the massive reception will not only honour a performing Governor but also reaffirm the people’s commitment to supporting the administration’s vision for a greater Abia.

He expressed confidence that the warm reception being organised by the Umunneochi Local Government under the leadership of Hon.
