The President of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU), Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu (Magic Fingers), paid a courtesy visit to the Chris Igbokwe Foundation (CIF) as part of his administration’s continuous drive to foster partnerships that promote social welfare, compassion, and human development.

In his remarks, Comrade Kalu commended the Foundation for its selfless and impactful humanitarian services rendered across different parts of the world — notably in Benue State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). He praised the organization’s steadfast commitment to alleviating hardship and supporting the less privileged, despite operating largely without government funding or external interventions.

Speaking during the visit, the Founder of the Chris Ighone Foundation, Mr. Chris Igbokwe, expressed appreciation for the RATTAWU President’s visit and the show of solidarity. He noted that the Foundation has consistently provided interventions to people across the globe through personal efforts and the goodwill of a few friends. He emphasized that their mission is driven purely by compassion and the desire to serve humanity, not by external influence or government support.

Mr. Igbokwe, however, appealed to RATTAWU to help amplify the Foundation’s visibility and partner in expanding its humanitarian outreach, especially in areas where greater public awareness and institutional support are needed.

In response, Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu reaffirmed RATTAWU’s readiness to collaborate with the Foundation to advance causes that bring succour to the needy and promote human dignity. He stated that “true leadership and service find their essence in touching lives and inspiring hope,” and pledged to explore avenues through which the Union can contribute to the Foundation’s laudable vision.

The visit underscored the shared values of compassion, solidarity, and social responsibility that both organizations stand for demonstrating that partnership remains a key pathway to sustainable humanitarian impact.
