The Nigeria Labour Congress 22nd RAIN School 2026 provided a platform for a new generation of trade union leaders to deepen their understanding of labour issues, political engagement, and leadership ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 political landscape.

Held under the theme, “The Working Class and the Politics of 2027: Issues, Challenges and Opportunities,” the programme witnessed the active participation of young comrades from the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers’ Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU), who demonstrated the union’s unwavering commitment to building a vibrant and forward-looking labour movement.

The delegation’s participation reflected more than mere attendance. It underscored RATTAWU’s deliberate investment in grooming visionary, courageous and purpose-driven young leaders equipped to champion the interests of Nigerian workers in an evolving socio-political environment.

Throughout the intensive sessions, participants engaged in robust discussions, acquired valuable knowledge, exchanged innovative ideas, and built strategic networks that will further strengthen the struggle for workers’ rights, social justice, and national development.

The young comrades reaffirmed their determination to lead with integrity, serve with humility, and remain steadfast in defending the collective interests of the working class.

Their impressive outing at the RAIN School further reinforces RATTAWU’s resolve to nurture a new generation of labour leaders capable of driving positive change and sustaining the ideals of the union for years to come.
