All passengers in an 18-seater bus have been reportedly kidnapped at Anyigba-Itobe road in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State. An eyewitness stated that the incident happened around 4pm on Monday at the notorious kidnapping spot at Ochadamu area on the said highway. Our reporter learnt from a competent source in the area that the hoodlums in their numbers flagged down the said bus at gun point and evacuated the passengers to the bush. Gunmen killed a Nigerian singer-songwriter in Umubele, a community in Awka, Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State, southeast Nigeria. The incident occurred on Sunday morning. The victim, Ifeanyi Onah, also known as Slami, was said to be driving his newly purchased Lexus 330 SUV when he was attacked and killed by the gunmen. 12-year-old boy kidnaps 3-year-old girl, demands N150,000 ransom

The operatives of the Bauchi State Police Command have arrested a 12-year-old boy for allegedly kidnapping a three-year-old girl. The father of the girl reported to the police that he got an anonymous call informing him that his daughter had been kidnapped. A woman, Okereke Olufunmilayo, the Manager at a building materials store, has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and killing his employer, Otunba Abayomi Ajayi Smith, the Director of Rolak Hotel Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State. Olufunmilayo was said to have perpetrated the act with the aid of her husband, Larry Adebayo Adewumi, and one Adebowale Sanni. About 1,789 persons in Kaduna State were abducted by bandits in six months this year, the state has revealed. Presenting the security situation report for 2022 to the state government on Friday, the state Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, explained that within the same period 161 bandits were killed in various communities encountered by the security agencies. According to the commissioner, the security agents at different locations in the second quarter neutralized 59 bandits.
