A member of the Kano State House of Assembly, Isiyaku Ali Danja Gezawa, and 164 persons were arrested by the Kano State Police Command for allegedly trying to set ablaze the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and a police station. Ali Danja, of Gezawa Constituency, was alleged to have led a team of hoodlums to destroy the INEC collation center in Gezawa. Bandits took N2mill ransom, kill chief Imam’s senior wife in Kaduna

Bandits have shot dead the senior wife of the Chief Imam of Nomadic Central Mosque in Rugan Ardo, Isyaka Adamu. Mrs. Hulaira Hussaini Ardo was shot dead after the bandits collected 2 million Naira as ransom. Fake DSS officer remanded for defrauding prophet, others
