The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has uncovered a large consignment of drugs in Lagos. The substances are contained in hundreds of cartons kept in a house in Victoria Garden City (VGC). The estate, mostly occupied by the rich, is located along the Lekki-Ajah corridor. NDLEA Director of Media, Femi Babafemi announced the operation Monday morning. “Another VGC drug bust! The Kwara State Police Command said its operatives arrested a medical doctor, Adio Adeyemi, of Kaiama General Hospital, over the alleged kidnap and murder of two ladies. Adeyemi was alleged to have kidnapped and killed his girlfriend identified only as Ifeoluwa, and another housewife, Nofisat Halidu, in 2021. Ifeoluwa was declared missing in the Tanke area, while Nofisat, a housewife in Kaiama, was reported missing by her husband, Mr. Halidu.
