Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor “De Ultimate Commander” (Ikenga Gburugburu of Ohafia and Nneato Ancient Kingdoms), has paid glowing tribute to Chief Sir Mike Mbama Okiro, former Inspector General of Police, Chairman of the Board of the Aba Commercial Smart City (ACSC), and Founding Member of the United Abia Artistes and Patriots (UAAP) Forum, as he celebrates his 77th birthday.

In a heartfelt goodwill message, the President of the Aba Commercial Smart City (ACSC) and President of the United Abia Artistes and Patriots (UAAP) Forum described Chief Okiro as one of Nigeria’s most distinguished statesmen whose remarkable life has been defined by discipline, integrity, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to national development.

Ambassador Offor noted that Chief Okiro’s journey in public service continues to inspire generations of Nigerians, describing him as a leader who has consistently placed service above self and humanity above personal ambition.

According to him, the celebrant’s exceptional career as the former Inspector General of Police and former Chairman of the Police Service Commission remains a reference point in the country’s security architecture, where professionalism, institutional reforms, and the welfare of officers received renewed attention under his leadership.

The UAAP President further commended Chief Okiro for bringing his wealth of experience to the Aba Commercial Smart City project as Chairman of its Board, saying his strategic guidance and leadership continue to strengthen the vision of transforming Aba into a globally competitive commercial and industrial hub capable of creating jobs, attracting investment, and accelerating economic prosperity across Abia State and beyond.

He also described Chief Okiro as one of the foundational pillars of the United Abia Artistes and Patriots (UAAP) Forum, whose wisdom, patriotism, and commitment to unity have continued to provide direction for the organisation’s mission of promoting excellence, innovation, and sustainable development.
