The NDC candidate for Abia North Senatorial Zone in the 2027 general elections, Rt. Hon. Uko Ndukwe Nkole, has continued his engagements across the zone, taking his legislative agenda to the media, grassroots stakeholders and community-based initiatives.
Nkole featured on “Weekly Legislator”, a live media programme anchored by Ginika Olua, where he highlighted his previous legislative achievements and outlined his vision for extending stronger representation, development and federal attention across Abia North.
The former two-term member of the House of Representatives also spoke on the broader political platform of the NDC, with former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi as the party’s 2027 presidential candidate. His senatorial ambition, he noted, is being pursued within the wider NDC national project.
Beyond the media engagement, Nkole honoured an invitation as Special Guest of Honour
at the 2026 Ikeji distribution of beneficiaries’ stipends and food kitchen organised by the J&T Foundation at the Arochukwu Civic Centre, Oror.
Nkole lauded the humanitarian efforts of Dr NCE Njaka, Esq., Board Secretary/Legal Adviser, on behalf of the foundation led by Ugwuaro (Dr) Jacob Nwosu as President and Adaukwu Aro (Dr) Theodora Nwosu as Vice President and pledged his partnership .
At the humanitarian event, Nkole made a donation in support of the initiative and pledged to add 500 indigent persons to the network of beneficiaries.
He subsequently inspected the NDC campaign office of Hon. Chinedu Ijoma Ogbonnaya, the party’s candidate for Arochukwu State Constituency, before rounding off the day with a hangout with Ezenta Asaga and Mazi Friday Nwakaibeya.
The engagements further underscore Nkole’s continuing grassroots mobilisation across Abia North as preparations for the 2027 elections gather pace, with his senatorial campaign being presented as part of the wider NDC and Peter Obi presidential project.
