The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has recently disclosed a list of 58 former governors who are suspected to have been involved in corrupt activities, such as embezzlement, misappropriation, or laundering, over a period of 25 years. The total amount of money involved is approximately N2.187 trillion, not including properties seized worldwide or those currently under investigation, which amount to billions of Naira. Journalist hit by stray bullet at Kano government house

A journalist named Naziru Idris Ya’u, who works with the government-owned Abubakar Rimi Television (ARTV) in Kano State, was hit by a stray bullet at the Government House in Kano. The incident occurred on Friday, May 3, at 8:30 p.m. after he returned to the government residence from an assignment with Governor Abba Yusuf. The bullet struck Naziru's shoulder, causing minor injuries. He was immediately taken to the Government House Clinic, where he received treatment and was later discharged.
