On Tuesday 14th October, the House of Representatives received the Report of the Committee on Health Institutions on the Federal Medical Centre Ohafia (Establishment) Bill, HB.257, sponsored by Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, Member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency. This marks a major step forward in establishing a Federal Medical Centre in Ohafia, Abia State. The Bill had earlier passed its second reading and was referred to the Committee on Health Institutions for detailed review and public input.
